Yeah we don’t have a good name for them, but it’s very simple–just fry an egg inside a thick slice of french bread!
2 Thick (1.5-2 inch) slices of french bread
2 Eggs
1
Cut a hole in the slice of french bread. Butter both sides of the slice
2
Using a frying pan on medium heat, put the slices of bread in the pan.
(Optional) Toast one side of the bread just a little bit before flipping the bread.
3
Crack an egg into the hole of the toast. Add a dash of salt and pepper.
4
After a minute or so, flip the toast (this can be a little tricky, you need to get it after the egg has cooked enough but before it’s cooked too much).
Let the other side cook for a minute and then you’re done!
